PCCHA CUTTING STAKES STALLION SERVICE AUCTION

The PCCHA Stallion Service Auction has been a tradition in our association for many years. In 2018, the PCCHA Stallion Service Auction and Subscribed Stallion program merged to build a bigger purse for the Cutting Stakes and offer more options for stallion owners to be able to affordably subscribe their stallion. The stallion service auction also offers special incentives to breeders who participate in our breeding programs.

Important Auction Information:
- In 2020, PCCHA upgraded to a new and improved stallion service auction platform! New and exciting bidding options including extended bidding and Max bid options (just like eBay). Please make sure to read the Bidders Guide for complete details. All bids are final and winning bids are due to be paid within 5 days at close of auction.
Bidding Details & Winning the Bid
- Phone numbers submitted with Bidding Registration may be used for Text alerts and reminders for important deadlines related to the current stallion service auction.
- Bidders may opt to Bid manually each time on stallions that they are interested in OR you can set a “Maximum Bid” that will automatically increase to override any bids that come in UNDER your Maximum Bid. (They will Bid to $50 over another Bidders maximum until you are winning or a competing Bidder exceeds your maximum.)
Example: Bob sets a Maximum Bid of $5,000 on a Stallion with a starting bid of $2,500. The starting bid for Bob will be $2,500 since he is the opening bid. Joe decided to put a maximum bid in on the same Stallion for $4,000. Bob’s bid will automatically update to $4,050 to outbid Joe since Bob’s Maximum Bid is for $5,000. Joe is determined to win the stallion and decided to Bid again but sets a Maximum of $5,500. Joe’s winning bid is now $5,050 to override Bob’s Maximum of $5,000. Now it is up to Bob to decide to keep bidding or stop. If Bob decides to now set a Maximum bid of $5,500, the auction will indicate with a Red Box that he is NOT winning the Bid, as Joe’s $5,500 was received first. Bob will need to bid over that amount by $50 and then the box around the stallion will turn Green to indicate a Winning Bid. - You must bid MORE than any other bidder's maximum bid by the minimum bid increment to have the winning the bid.
Example: The Minimum Bid Increment is $50. Bidder #1 has a Max Bid of $2000. Bidder #2 must bid at least $2050 to be the winning bidder. - You will be outbid when your bid is not high enough over another bidder's Maximum Bid. (IF you are winning, your bid status will be in GREEN, if you are losing it will be in RED.)
- You will be outbid when your bid is the SAME as another bidders Maximum Bid since theirs was bid first. Your bid will be accepted; however, you will still be outbid.
- Please read AUCTION TERMS for each stallion carefully prior to bidding! Some stallions will have limitations to shipping or breeding requirements (ICSI, Frozen Only, Stallion Showing, ect). Additional fees to mare owners will also be listed in the Auction Terms including: chute fee, incentives/nominations to be paid by mare owner. Please contact breeding farms to confirm and pay any additional fees associated with the breeding outside of the purchase of the stud fee after close of auction.
- Please assume all breeding contracts are for use within the United States for the current Breeding season. It is the Bidders responsibility to inquire with the stallion station to verify any breeding contracts for outside of the U.S. or if they are eligible for a re-breed.
- ALL BIDS ARE FINAL! There are multiple Incentives for Mare and Stallion owners, as well as PCCHA Cutting Stakes eligibility for a stallion’s entire foal crop attached to winning bids for this Stallion Service Auction. Due to the subscription eligibility and incentive elements, all winning bids must be paid and no refunds will be given.
- PCCHA makes no guarantees for a live foal and has NO responsibility for any issues that may arise from breeding complications or other factors outside the auction breeding purchase.
Purchased Stallion (Won the Bid)
Please let the PCCHA Office know immediately if you plan to pay by check or with credit card. That check must be received (or submit tracking information) within 5 days of the auction close. If payment arrangements have not been made within 5 days of the auction close, your credit card on file will be charged. All credit card transactions will have a 3.5% convenience fee. Once your payment has been received, the stallion station/manager will be notified of your payment in full and you will then need to make chute fee, incentive, shipping, and further breeding arrangements with them.
